Conference Pass Options

Purchase a full conference pass to GalaxZ18 and gain access to two and a half days of keynotes, breakout sessions, the partner showcase and all networking events. You can also choose to attend one of our five pre-conference technical training courses. (Note: You must purchase a full conference pass to GalaxZ18 to attend pre-conference training.)


Technical Training Course Options

ZenPack Development Training (Duration: 1.5 days | Price: $750)

Learn how to use ZenPacks to customize and extend Zenoss to suit the specific needs of your environment. The class will include an overview and demonstration of the most common types of customizations, as well as a hands-on exercise in creating a ZenPack. This class is recommended for those who want to extend Zenoss’ capabilities to monitor new types of devices, systems and applications. Some experience managing or using Zenoss is required (ideally 6+ months), and some scripting experience is recommended. (Class Dates: June 19-20, 2018)



Analytics Training (Duration: 1.5 days | Price: $750)

Learn how Zenoss Analytics can be applied to solve real-world business problems by analyzing your Zenoss monitoring data using visualizations that provide your organization with invaluable capacity planning and performance insight into your IT infrastructure. Delivered by Zenoss’ Analytics SME, the course includes information about how the Analytics product can be used to generate this value-added insight, along with many instructor-led demonstrations of it doing so in real time during the class. You will have the opportunity to try to “stump the instructor” with your anticipated use cases. This class is recommended for those Zenoss admins interested in learning how to do capacity planning and analytics on Zenoss data. (Class Dates: June 19-20, 2018)



(NEW) Using Python With Zenoss Resource Manager: The JSON API & More (Duration: 1.5 days | Price: $750)

Learn how to leverage your python skills with Zenoss Resource Manager. This class covers the many ways in which a Zenoss administrator can solve problems, enrich and automate their monitoring experience by writing code. The three main subjects discussed in this class are ZenDMD, the Resource Manager JSON API, and event transforms. This class is recommended for Zenoss veterans/power-users or DevOps engineers with working experience in any object-oriented programming language (python preferred) who want to learn how to leverage their scripting skills with Zenoss Resource Manager. (Class Dates: June 19-20, 2018)



Zenoss Under the Hood: A Foundation for Troubleshooting (Duration: 1 day | Price: $500)

The key to being able to successfully diagnose issues on the Zenoss platform is to understand the data pipeline. Join members of our senior technical staff as they pop open the hood and provide detailed insight into how Zenoss works. This class will also cover a set of best practices to ensure a healthy environment and some tips and tricks for troubleshooting. NOTE: The material in this class is specific to on-premises deployments only. ZaaS customers should not enroll in this class. (Class Date: June 20, 2018)



Introduction to Monitoring (Duration: 1 day | Price: $500)

Learn how to add devices to Zenoss, configure the way in which Zenoss monitors specific devices, and manage Zenoss events. This class features instructor-led demonstrations and hands-on lab exercises. Each participant will have access to their own Zenoss 5 Resource Manager instance for the duration of the class. This class is recommended for new Zenoss administrators with little to no Zenoss experience. (Class Date: June 20, 2018)

Cancelation Policy

Cancelations received by Friday, March 31, 2018, will be issued a full refund. Cancelations received between April 1, 2018, and May 30, 2018, will receive 50% of the conference fee paid. No refunds will be given after May 30, 2018. Cancelation requests must be sent to for approval.
